Although the auto industry is expect to cool down in 2008, things are just starting to heat up in Italy. Ferrari is preparing to launch an all-new model at October’s Paris Motor Show and Lamborghini is reportedly readying a drop-top version of its all-new LP560-4.
Lamborghini claimed earlier this year that it would be unveiling a new model at every major auto show this year, and the recently unveiled LP560-4 seems like the perfect canvas for some of those new models.

While Lamborghini is keeping tight-lipped on its new models, a Spyder version of the LP560-4 seems like the most likely model to bow next. The previous-generation Gallardo offered a drop-top variation and since the new model rides on the same architecture, the lead time for such a model should be drastically reduced.

A Superleggera version of the new car also seems to be a distinct possibility.

With the only major auto shows remaining on this year’s docket being the Paris Motor Show and the Los Angeles Auto Show, the complete LP560-4 lineup could be revealed by the end of the year.
