BlackX, if you remove a 30-40 year-old bus or truck from the roads it gets replaced with a new truck and that new truck is the result of a build process that has a massive environmental impact compared to its annual emissions.

If all vehicles were run as long as they could be instead of being replaced on a whim every 3 years or so, imagine the reductions in manufacturing.

At least a company that’s loyal to their exclusivity as Super Sports only.
Although Lamborghini is the only Sports cars company that could make an SUV because they started as a Tractor’s Company.
They know what they’re doing.

The new CAFE standards aren’t going to work anyways. Every company is going to find a loophole or just buy their way out of it. Recently it has been the price of fuel… not emissions… that has dictated what consumers purchase… not that any lambo owner cares about gas.

Lambo’s lobbyists are hard at work to get a small producer exemption, and they’re confident they’ll get one. That’s what I read into this article. However, “no, we can’t do it” is not a ringing endorsement for Lambo’s technology. It’s more of a stick your head in the sand strategy. Not very impressive.

Yeah my sentiments as well HRR, And true in saying that most people that do own exotic cars, and Lambo’s probably don’t drive more than the 5000 miles per year in their cars (as said in the article) where their car just sits and looks pretty in their temperature controlled garages all year mostly. My only fear would be what if the governments’ regulations got soo strict to the point that if they didn’t meet emissions standards that they wouldn’t be able to sell their vehicles in the U.S? Would it happen? It might if the Democrats make it into office…
