2008 Lancia Delta revealed

02/05/2008, 2:26 PM

By admin

Fiat’s Lancia brand will showcase its redesigned Delta wagon at the upcoming 2008 Geneva Motor Show next month. Built on an extended Fiat Bravo platform, the new Delta is based on the Delta HPE concept from 2006.

Not a whole lot else is known about the 2008 Delta at this time, but it’s a safe bet you won’t see one on U.S. shores in the foreseeable future. This will probably come as a disappointment to wagon fans, since the Delta is quite a looker.

Stay tuned to our coverage of Geneva Motor Show next month, when we’ll have more details on the new Delta.

Pretty good looking for a hatch. Although the back sorta reminds me of the Volvo C30 rear, which I don’t really care for. Is it going to be AWD? I thought the Lancia Deltas were AWD or some came in AWD going all the way back to the early 90’s.

The grille looks like it is melting in a sexy way. . And the side glass is wicked, too.

@meanpants555 I don’t think that a new Integrale is planned, at least as a Lancia, though there will be something similar from AR with the upcoming 149.

I don’t think Lancia is in the position to bring a new Deltona, this 2008 Delta is the car supposed to rescue Lancia from its sort of comatose state…

As for the interior, come on, the FIAT 500 looks way better, actually, the little 500 sports an amazing quality under FIAT standards, and it is cool and ergonomical, as opposite to BMW’s mini…

Looks nice – for an Alfa Romeo. If this is a Lancia, someone’s become deeply confused.

Wow, that’s damn ****ing attractive. The rear end is like a more European, more sophisticated version of the first gen Murano’s. I love it.
