While the vast majority of concept cars lose their spectacular interiors in the transition from show car to production car, executives are reportedly hard at work to ensure the LRX concept’s interior doesn’t lose anything in translation.
According to Autocar, Land Rover intends to keep the production LRX’s interior very close to the show car’s — which debuted last January at the Detroit Auto Show. To meet this goal, Land Rover has instructed its engineers to turn the show car’s interior shapes and structures into production items.
It remains to be seen how close Land Rover engineers can actually get the production LRX’s interior to match the concept’s, and we’ll probably have to wait until 2010 to see just how close they come.
