borat, I have never seen/heard of the red cross or crescent denying anyone help because of their religion, even if they are somewhat faith based charities. I can't think of a better organization to give a donation to personally then the Red Cross. First ones in to help in a disaster, everytime. maybe Tata is open-minded enough to know that and can look past prejudice/barriars etc that unfortantley, most others can't.

as far as the Land Rover goes as a vehicle, the few i have drove were nice, but I personally like a good ole jeep myself. But i know the Land Rover has an awesome reputation for steep climbing, which is amazing considering how top heavy it does look!

The landrover is the most capable off-road vehicle and the best, providing comfort and performance, jeeps, hummers and anything else has no chance against it on a mountain, even if they do have the nicest interior ever.

I like the old Land Rover, Range Rover days where they were tougher. These days Land Rovers are still capable but who would want to grind and dent their Range Rover while off roading.

Though they may be top-heavy and overpriced, they also hold a certain cachet that a run-of-the-mill SUV could only dream of having.

Perhaps this is just different direction for the new owners?

So no more Mongolia for Rover? It was interesting read. Of course, we could not dream about those mighty diesels, but it was interesting read. As far as charities, I wonder why devout Hindu would support Christian/Muslim charity. Especially Muslim part after Mumbai massacre.

Top heavy garbage. Land Rover is an irrelevant brand anyway, with the huge proliferation of SUV's from every auto manufacturer, who in there right mind would buy that overpriced junk?
