Land Rover has announced official details for its all-new 2012 Range Rover Evoque. The smallest Range Rover yet is scheduled to arrive in Land Rover showrooms this fall.

Hailed as the lightest and most efficient Range Rover ever, the five-door version of the soft-roader will arrive with a price tag of $43,995. The coupe version will command a slight premium, and will list from $44,995. Both prices include destination.

Thanks to the extensive use of lightweight materials, the five-door version of the Evoque tips the scales at just 3,680 pounds. But the Evoque is all aluminum and Boron – each vehicle is also fitted with 35 pounds of recycled plastics.

The Evoque is also green when it comes to the open road, returning fuel economy figures of 19mpg city and 28mpg highway. Land Rover failed to attach a specific model to those figures, but we suspect they apply to the front-wheel drive version of the car.

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque will be sold in 160 countries, with North American deliveries slated for this fall.
