Much of the growth in the auto industry in 2005 came from large sedans, according to Business First. Of the 223,331 additional cars sold in 2005 (compared to 2004), 149,509 can be attributed to large luxury cars. So-called “upscale” cars dipped by 20,363, but sales of cheaper models — such as the Chrysler 300, Cadillac STS, and Dodge Charger, made up for more than the difference. Another growing segment is the touring wagon, which includes such vehicles as the BMW 530xit.

not sure I would consider teh STS in teh same ballpark as the Charger with over twice the cost…nor would I consider the Caddy STS a “cheaper model”
*listing the BMW 5 series wagon but not the Magnum?
