Rich, your right this is another of Cadillac's "SMOKE" and "MIRROR" tricks. Buy a CTSV the only smoke will be coming from the rear tires as see those over priced over weight under-powered BMW M's fading away in your rear view mirror. game over Cadillac 1 BMW 0

Really not news concerning the DTS/STS replacement. It should have class leading wheelbase and interior room if it is to succeed. There is definitely a need for a Direct Injection Northstar. 450HP please. Hyundai has one for God's sake GM! Stick the Hybrid Tranny in there so it can get 25 mpg city. Try class leading not following FIT & FINISH, i.e. 4 clear coats.Pearl white without stripes please. Silence the magazine pundits. Shock Lexus Engineers.

Have to remind you ALL luxury sedans depriciate like mad. Not just domestics. It all comes down to mileage. Lexus do seem to hold Lexus LS do seem to hold their value better though.

DTS has the best front-end of any of them. I hope the new 7-series fighter has the same nose.

And the Escalade, even with a diesel engine, is still going to cost a fortune to own. Diesel is $4.09/gal where I live in NJ -- more than premium unleaded. Will better economy do more than balance out the price increase?

The future of Cadillac remains bright. With the eventual closure and (thankfully) exit from the states, BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Lexus are going to be gasping for air just to keep up with the outstanding craftsmanship, quality and reliability of Cadilac.

I'm surprised they've survived this long actually.

Just have me a white cts coupe with black rims waiting for me and by 2011 after it depreciates by thousands like the old CTS's did i'll buy one then. Cadillacs are not meant to buy new as for pretty much any domestic. Its not that there bad its just well, i can't explain it but its a good bargain when you can get a used one with low miles with about $10,000 of the regular price
