The powerful V10 engine slated to appear in the forthcoming Lexus LF-A sports car could find its way into next-generation GS sedan, a new report suggests. Presumedly dubbed the GS-F, the car would join the IS-F in the automaker’s “F” high-performance series.
Intended to rival the BMW M5 , Mercedes E 63 AMG, Audi RS6, the GS-F would arrive a year after the all-new 2011 GS is introduced. The 2012 model has not yet been approved, but Motor Trend says Toyota is seriously considering it.
Insiders anticipate a similar design language to the IS-F when it comes to enlarged intakes and other visual enhancements. An eight-speed transmission is a near certainty.
