im usually a fan of lexus, and was very excited when i heard about the convertible IS, but this is a real disappointment. the IS CF, or whatever it will be called will be cool, but it will still be ugly. not only is this ugly, it doesnt even have character. for instance, my dad has an SC, and sure its ugly, but in my opinion, its got a lot of character, and the interior is gorgeous. the interiors of the IS’s i find to be junky.
also, im not much of a convertible kinda guy, so i wouldve liked to see this in a coupe guise as well, but lexus has a tendency to do things ass backwards and be really stupid, so they wont. an IS F coupe is something i would definatley consider over an M3, but the only convertible i will ever buy, is the jag xkr, that thing is dropdead gorgeous

Oh c’mon, the whole point of these hardtop convertibles is that they’re supposed to be the best of both worlds. So 2.36 cubic feet of cargo space with the top down (I could generate that much volume in empties on a long weekend, which by the way it was up here and I probably did) makes it that much closer to its sedan counterpart in what way?

And be real careful if you go for one of these after the warranty’s expired in that if any one of those combined 52 electric motors and sensors go awry not only do they have to fix it at roughly $100/hr they have to first find the problem.

Hate to tell you this Mark E. but that “errant gull” … well …… that was deliberate on his part.

And I have difficulty believing that anyone over 15 and under 65 looked too hard at this car. Still, I will forward interest in this car to my dead grandparents. This thing is almost as boring looking as the SC.

I’d take a lingering glance at a pre-released or just-released model the first time I saw one on the road. Doesn’t mean I’d be interested in buying or even test-driving it, as is the case with this appliance.

The G6 ruined the whole hardtop convertable thing for me. I’d like to see a IS Coupe. More specificlally an IS-F Coupe.
