Lexus reveals one-off yacht
The LY 650 is said to be the brand's "fourth flagship" joining the LS sedan, LX SUV and LC coupe.
After teasing a mystery new 'flagship,' Lexus has revealed the LY 650 -- a one-off luxury yacht.
The company says the 65-foot vessel represents its fourth flagship alongside the LS sedan, LX SUV and LC coupe.
The LY 650 does not look like a Lexus, save for the automaker's logo inlaid on the cabin floor.
After showing the previous Lexus Sport Yacht Concept, the Japanese automaker wanted to "present a dream-like vision of the luxury lifestyle; one where the Lexus Yacht expands the potential of Lexus mobility into the ocean," according to executive VP Shigeki Tomoyama.
The LY 650 was actually built by Marquis-Larson, a Wisconsin-based boatbuilder, though parent Toyota does build a series of sport-fishing boats and luxury cabin cruisers in lengths of up to 45 feet.
