Lightweight “Yes! Roadster” challenges Lotus Elise

04/05/2006, 7:50 AM

By admin

Custom automaker Funke & Will has unveiled a new version of the “Yes! Roadster” at the Leipzig auto show in Germany. The hand-built car gets a significant performance boost to 355 horsepower and 355 pound-feet of torque, enabling it to hit 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. A turbo kit that will add another 30 horses is also planned. The car weighs just 2,200 pounds and has gullwing doors. Pricing is equal to over $70,000, so the car is significantly more expensive than the Elise, as well. Images after the jump…

1) Gull-wing doors on a convertible? That I HAVE to see. (Unless my view of Gull Wing Doors is wrong…I’m thinking MB 300SL/Delorean)

2) Turbo kit for only 30hp? They certainly aren’t stressing that engine that much. I’d be willing to be that kit puts out significantly more umph when it gets released.
