all these options are awesome, i think lincoln will finally replace the towncar with a decent replacement, for me, ill take the v6 twin turbo with 350hp and 325 lf lbs of torque. It outbeats the 4.4 v8 with 315hp, and it may get better mpg. which is everyones issue now aday. But the v6 might use more fuel than a v8, only because i own a grand prix with the 3.8 v6 240hp supercharged, and i have to go to the gas station 2 times a week, and it gets 19 mpg.

Hey you BMW suck-ups, cut a guy some slack……the Mark VIII was a VERY NICE RIDE in it’s day and took off like a bat out of hell with it’s DOHC 32 Valve aluminum V8…..and the last really enthusiast-oriented Lincoln made. So, if you haven’t driven one, don’t hate…. and don’t start me on BMW’S…overrated piles of $€£€&@# IMHO….

Rear wheel drive with V8, independent rear suspension. NO idiot iDrive system. A modernized Mark II dash could be a nice touch. Mark VIII’s were very nice, but Mark VII’s have a cult like following.

Spadaro, everything in Lincoln’s line-up _is_ RWD except the Zephyr. I do agree that they need to make the car in RWD and AWD. They also need to have all the cool techno stuff too.

Why doesn’t Lincoln resurrect one of the best cars they recently built, the magnificent Mark VIII? I have had two of these and they are awesome! When I tell people about this car, I compare it to the BMW 6-series; high-tech DOHC V-8, 4-wheel disk brakes, 4-wheel independent suspension, plus air-ride and a real driver-centered ****pit. The only thing I would ask for in a remake is manual transmission and a higher performance (think M-series or AMG) to compete with M-B and BMW.

Chalk another one up to the turbo 6. Audi and BMW have won me over to what turbos can do. More torque, more power, less fuel, less weight. What are the advantages to a DOHC v8?

Oh yeah, gotta be RWD. And how about 50/50? That might be asking too much huh?

I think the car looks pretty sharp, I mean hopefully they make it a little more Lincoln-esque… but it will sell… Less Lincoln-esque is needed in their dash and steering wheel.. it needs to be modernized

Ford must be really stupid to ask obvious questions on what people will like for its MKS sedan. Dohc v-8, rear drive, and a new more distinctive body styling to set it apart from the rest. Copying design cues from other luxury cars will do no good for the brand. Just take a look at the more successful Cadillac division.
