Lincoln D3 concept

  • [Updated with video link - original post 10:30 a.m.] Yesterday, we brought you a teaser image of an unknown Lincoln concept car, expected to debut at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Today, we received a Lincoln preview video for the new car, which we now know is based on Ford’s D3 platform. No further details are available at this time on the car. The video can be seen here.     That grill looks a little too big for that car. Other then that, a very nice design that looks like it might become a production reality.

    No more concepts Lincoln!! Let’s see a production car that looks like the concept (unlike the Zephyr, which lost its concept’s proportions and sleek profile). Then I’ll be a believer.

    Many Chris Bangle influences in this concept. The grill work and headlights mimic the 6′er and from the A pillar back the 5 series. Overall it looks good but lacks orginality. Lincoln desperately needs a winner.
