THE GRILL!!!! ITS BACK!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! I’m seriously convinced that Lincoln and Acura made a bet of who can make the most shiny, obnoxious, pointless, largest grill for their cars and sell the most models…. huh? Huh? Anyone?

The Lincoln brand has become a sad joke. A long time ago they had a status almost equal to Mercedes, now lincolns status is the same as oldsmobile.

Even if they all had a nice grill instead of that hideous monstrosity there is not a single Lincoln I would consider worth the additional surcharge over its Ford counterpart. Maybe that’s the problem… every Lincoln has a Ford counterpart.

I think it is just editors missed the fact that the same pics appeared in the Ford article. Perhaps editors did not make mistake, maybe it is the same car. Must be good camo. That’s it, Ford developed great camo.

There’s 2 different cars. Same camo and paint job however. Obviously different grilles, lights, etc.

Lincoln needs to die. If all Ford is going to do with Lincoln is sell rebadged Ford appliances…then there is no need for Lincoln………..unless the railroad buys them to clear cows off the track…

As was said above…Lincoln is a joke….when Hyundai can build a better luxury car than Lincoln…Lincoln is in serious trouble…..even Buick is closer to a luxury make than Lincoln…and continuing this viral trend of just rebadging a Ford appliance and jacking the price 10K will only dig you further into that hole.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Let’s see oldsmobile is no longer around so I think Lincoln is doing a little better. I love this new Grill and I love the new MKS.. Let’s keep on going Lincoln let’s take Cadillac out of the equiation.

How about a Diesel engine?? This is real economy, not turbo gas engines… There would be a huge market for these in Europe if they offered it with a Diesel, like Dodge/Chrysler does with it’s vehicles and even Infiniti now…

Titus, I can’t see them being sold in Europe for love or money, regardless of the engine. I am with you on diesel, but in Europe this would fly as a lead balloon even with the best of diesels.

There’s absolutely no reason to buy a Cadillac, Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, or BMW over a Lincoln right now. Hell there’s no reason to buy a Lincoln over Ford’s current lineup right now. Lincoln needs to be itself and make a better, modern version of the Navigator and Town Car because right now nobody knows any other car Lincoln makes other than those two. The Navigator actually has a bad-a$$ rep to it, the 1998-2006 at least, and the Town Car is known as being the most used limousine and probably the most comfortable and spacious car on the market, why not update/modernize them both extremely to compete against Mercedes and Cadillac again instead of making Lexus wannabe’s?

You all make me sick! Why don’t you try getting off your couch for once in your life and enter the real world. It is ill-informed people like each and every one of you, that like to just talk talk talk about things that you really know nothing about, that put us where we are today. Our beautiful country has been sold out. Here is a grand idea, instead of just crushing hundreds and thousands of hard working Americans at Ford Motor Company with your caustic words, go drive a Lincoln. Then go and drive your Mercedes and your BMW. If you can still tell me that Lincoln doesn’t offer outstanding Luxury, Performance, and VALUE then you really don’t know what you are talking about. I have seen people with my own eyes turn in thier $$$ foreign car for a Lincoln and not only are they happy, they prefer the Lincoln. You see, people in the real world have actually driven and bought these vehicles that you gossip about, and the truth is they don’t want the $1,500 payment they don’t want the $750 oil change, they know there are domestic options out there that are not only affordable but excel in certain aspects as well. I am not saying that Mercedes and BMW don’t make amazing vehicles, they do and I love them. However, people that understand cars, I mean truly understand not just critique blindly, know that Ford Motor Company, although having made some mistakes in the past is at the forefront of the industry right now. Lincoln is, has always been and will continue to be, the Luxury line of this great company. HAVE YOU DRIVEN A LINCOLN LATELY???

Let me start by saying you’re absolutely right… Lincoln has made huge strides the last few years. I’d say they are well on their way to becoming Ford’s version of Buick. Think about it, that’s probably pretty close to the truth. What- you think they’re up there with Cadillac or something? Don’t make me laugh. Pick Lincoln’s best sedan… the MKS… and let’s throw it on the ‘Ring just for sh*ts and giggles. Against a CTS-V perhaps? Good lord, they still sell civilian versions of the Town Car.

Except for the haters there are very few on this site who don’t want to see the resurgence of Lincoln as a real player in the luxury car sweepstakes. That’s still a long ways off. So quit playing it up like you’re their chosen spokesperson. When Lincoln has truly arrived in the big leagues trust me, you’ll hear about it. In the meantime if they can generate enough sales among those who equate abnormal amounts of chrome and really big rims with actual performance… well more power to them.

I fully agree…there should have never been 4…there should have been 2. Chevy and the Cadillac Enclave.

While the Buick Enclave is FAR more of a luxury product than ANYTHING in Lincoln’s “near luxury” appliance store, it would be better as a Cadillac.

I agree, Lincoln is a f*cking joke of a brand. That grill sucks, go back to the normal, clean and good looking one used in the LS and 2006 Navigator, they should also ditch the FWD platforms and use the DEW98 which is actually a good platform, and go back to the old names(like Zeyphr and Continental Not MKwhatever) after all that is done Lincoln could truly be a Luxury brand, they COULD do it, but Ford is just too damn stupid, the MKS felt nice from the Inside, its just that there is a Ford counterpart and its Wrong Wheel Drive.

Mercury should be what Lincoln is now. and Lincoln should go higher. like it was before.

Go to a Lincoln showfloor. Drive a new 2010 MKZ, MKS, and MKT. Drive an ecoboost powered S or T. Seriously. Then you can post what ever you want. It’s obvious that 95% of what is posted here is tripe. Unless you’ve been behind the wheel of these vehicles everything you says is unfounded garbage.

Ford Sucks! I hope if you buy this thing,it comes with the covers to hide it’s hideous looks.I heard it shares it’s looks with Ford’s partner Toyota! It’s bad enough Ford buys it’s engine technology from Toyota,but now they even look like them.Ford,The New American Appliance!

cant wait for the new mkx with the new grill and eco boost…there really is no real competion! the rest of the field are either overpriced (ie bmw, mb) or underperforming (caddy, acura) drive an eco boost lincoln and you will be spoiled forever!

and fordman..where do you get your facts? toyota partners with GM, not ford..ford’s technology is way ahead!
and i agree with chuckles to some extend..too many clueles people comenting on things they have no clue about, and cars they were never in or drove or have any experience with! esp the import lovers who will never accept that a domestic betters their precious & pricey imports for less, and these are the people who need to get out there and DRIVE one.
