yes now everone will see how good the platform the 500 was. the video awd mks ecoboost has racing the sts di and 535i and it was the nice to see the big lincoln out in front. its on youtube and was put on by ford showing how the ecoboost was going to work out

yup teens are a riskier bunch, especially since they can afford to tune there ricers to 400hp as they live at home. i forgot to mention that my comment on ’72 yr old’ is a flaw in Fords marketing while Toyota aims at 16 yr olds. and by the time i get to that point (70′s) i’d be damned if someone wanted to take the keys from my hand too…so like i said, no offense intended…’OldManDenton’..haha.. im kidding .

No, I am younger then 70, I just believe that no one has the right to take away something so important as driving because of age. You also skipped what I said about 20 somethings who are also bad drivers, you find them in every age group.

NoNameDenton, i wish i could for everyones safety. teenagers? there just like seior citizens with too much energy. just as bad. plus a recent article – here on LLN – suggested the same. not only that, just 2 months ago an elderly gentleman (65-70) parked his car right on top of my buddys car, and didnt even realize it.. look lets face it teens cant control there instincts and the elderly lose instincts. so what you 70? didnt mean to offend you.

Do you have a right to tell people at what age they should stop driving? I know many people that age who are better drivers then most teenagers and 20 something year olds.

These are driving all around Dearborn, I see one almost every day. Actually one of my employers pre-ordered one. He ordered it in black. Kinda cool he was telling me that the paint has glass granules in it that give it that really glossy look, but not quite metallic…

Is this going to be another deal like with the LS, where they launch a game-changer, let it sit out there absoutely unchanged for about five model years, then can it and start developing another game-changer?

They could have made the LS into a franchise nameplate with a little TLC. I just don’t understand these people.

My Dads ’04 Town Car is a great ride and he has gotten 32mpg on the highway and you can carry 5 or 6 bodies in that huge trunk. The Town Car is not a bad car, but it is not for everyone. This new MKS just might be right on target. All auto makers reskin chassis for different models, i.e. Altima/Infinity; Camrey/Lexus.

I will wait for the twin turbo version to see if it really could outrun a BMW 5 series. I really hope that the next Ford Falcon platform underpins a Town Car replacment, because that car is so ancient.

It’s funny I still see the Camouflage models of this car testing on Beverly Glen. Also they seem to be testing the Focus and Flex and some truck now and then.

Being built on the Taurus platform does NOT mean that it is a rebadged Taurus. Even if it were, the Taurus is a great car. It may not look great, but is one of the safest cars in America. The Taurus platform was derived from a Volvo platform, so does that mean Ford is selling rebadged Volvo’s? This car is a real looker and the technology available in this car is not available in anything in its price range. Sirius Travel Link, SYNC, AWD, THX Audio, Adaptive Cruise Control, Rain Sensing Wipers, Forwrd Sensing System, Intelligent access and push button starting, the list goes on not to mention all of the safety features.

So this is basically a rebadged taurus with an ever so slightly larger engine, a remudled exterior and a slightly more luxurious interior. An ever so small step away from selling rebadged fords…should have been rwd v6 with awd and a 350+ hp 4.6 v8/ twin tubrbo 3.5 v6 as options from the get go to be a real contender.

The auto mags universally hate this car, but I think it looks nice. I’m a big fan of Lincoln – the NAvigator is one of the slickest rides I have ever seen, and the old Continental is a star.

This is ture seeing these things on the Raod gives me hope that we are on or way in America

Lincoln seems to get it even though I hope they offer a variety of Powerplants……
