Although the massive South by Southwest Festival is certainly taking center stage in Austin, Texas, that didn’t stop the area’s Lotus dealer from delivering the first Evora sold in North America.
The lucky buyer, Austin resident Bruce Rice, took delivery earlier today, although Lotus says it will host a celebratory party in Austin tomorrow to commemorate the first sale.
The Evora hardtop, only Lotus ’ third offering since the brand regained a foothold on the North American market about a decade ago, went on sale in mid-2009 in Europe. The first delivery was made at Lotus of Austin, the brand’s third highest sales outlet in the United States and one of its premier global showrooms.
