They should just have a big sticker in the window when you buy it that makes all of the safety shortcomings very clear to a potential buyer. If you know what you’re getting in to, and it is really only dangerous to you, then why does it matter?

Taste and decency regulations??? Haha, does the US want to corner the market on hideous design – block out ugly foreign cars so they can’t compete with ugly domestic cars?

I actually think it looks alright. Better than the Elise in my opinion.

It’s an ugly and uninspired design anyway so who cares? It is an improvement in the rear view from the original Europa but that’s about all that can be said. How about a modern interpretation of the Esprit’s styling? That was a good looking car.

I wish US safety regulations were relaxed. If it were possible to rig a bomb underneath each car seat to explode when a car gets into even the smallest car accident, then I think you’ll soon see people driving alot slower and alot safer and with alot more awareness.

Regulations have good intentions, but one side effect is it allow more and more drivers to be ‘asleep’ at the wheel. Bring over the Elise. Me and my insurance company will take our chances.

Looks very nice, probably more practical than the elise. If I was in a warm weather the majority of the year, i’d be all over it.

Well the Celica is dead now in the US but the corolla is still around and their are essentialy the same motor so…

United States car regulations are infuriating. Makes my head explode.

This Europa is pretty cool. Much more of a daily driver than the Elise.

Exactly right people want what they cannot have. Emissions is not a problem since they are all using different versionis of the Corolla motor. Just get to solve the safety regs.

they said the samething about the elise. frankly i think if they see the demand is here they will evntually send it over. this also may be a way for them to generate some buzz about the car.
