Luxury cellphone maker Vertu has unveiled a new phone likely to appeal to car and racing enthusiasts. Called the “Racetrack Legends Series,” the phone is a special edition of the Ascent model, featuring a rubber tire-like backing. The remainder of the phone is made of brushed aluminum and has either the Monza or Silverstone tracks etched on the back. Only 1000 special edition units will be made. Pricing has not been announced, but the standard Ascent costs over $5,000. Vertu also makes gold and diamond-encrusted phones that cost upwards of $30,000.
