Man sues himself for car damage

03/16/2006, 10:20 AM

When a city-owned dump truck crashed into Curtis Gokey’s car, the first thing on his mind was to sue the city of Lodi, CA for damages. But there was one problem. Mr. Gokey (a city employee) was driving the dump truck, and his car was parked, reports the Lodi News-Sentinel. The city rejected the $3,600 claim, because Gokey was in effect suing himself. So, Gokeys cooked up another plan. Rhonda Gokey filed another claim, this time for $4,800. The second claim is pending at Lodi City Hall.

If this works, i’m going to become a city employee, and drive the city owned vehicle into my house and car. Free renovations for all!
