Maserati has injected a little more performance into its stylish Jason Castriota-penned GranTurismo range at the Geneva Motor Show. Maserati used the annual show to unveil its latest GranTurismo Sport coupe, which will replace the GranTurismo S in North America.

The coupe follows in the footsteps of a GranTurismo Sport convertible introduced at last year's Geneva show, and it brings with it a power upgrade.

Subtle body changes to the front bumper encourage air flow to a more powerful 460-horsepower version of the GranTurismo's 4.7-liter engine (that's a 10 horsepower increase from before). As a result of the power increase, Maserati says that the 0-60 sprint will take less than 5 seconds and the coupe can top out at 177 mph. A six-speed ZF-developed automatic transmission with paddle shifters remains standard.

The new fascia also incorporates revised headlamps with LED running lamps. Out back, new tail lamps complete the look. Inside the GranTurismo gets a revised interior, complete with new seats and a new steering wheel.

A sport suspension and unique alloy wheels will continue to be a part of the GranTurismo Sport package.
