Alleged patent drawings of what is believed to be Maserati's 2014 Quattroporte have been leaked online, revealing the car's shape. If they are indeed representative of what the car will look like when it arrives, the four-door won't change much from the current car.

The front and rear ends will be sharpened up, however, with the design of the headlights especially mirroring those of the company's upcoming Kubang SUV. There is also a similarity to the GranTurismo coupe around the C-pillar and rear spoiler.

The photos were first posted by AutoWeek.nl and later shared by Motor Authority.

The Quattroporte may be powered by a new supercharged V6 or twin-turbo V8, though these are just rumors. It may also eventually get a hybrid powertrain from parent Ferrari. It may otherwise make more use of aluminum alloy in its body construction to keep the weight low compared to the current car.

The car is expected to make its public debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, though more spy photos should arrive before then.
