2. Maybach 57S
3. Bentley Arnage T
4. Bentley Continental Flying Spur
5. Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT

while the maser isn’t #1, I still love it

I haven’t seen anyone say this….
but, I think the car is SOO ugly.
Looks like a fish or something.
The CEO of the company I used to work for less than a month ago had a Dark blue one. The interior was amazing as far as comfort/quality & Materials. The car in my OPINION is hideous. I know it’s “Maserati” & almost no other manufacturer has quite a history(racing) like them blah blah blah. If I was a multi-millionaire this car wouldn’t cross my mind if I were looking for one.
I not a fan of Mercedes-Benz but i’d definately take a Maybach over this in a heartbeat.
Im sorry to all the “Maserati Lovers” out there, I hope I didn’t offend anyone but it’s just my opinion. Car looks like poop.

Jon, I have heard of the problems with the transmission that you mention , however that was with the original Quattroporte, not the Quattroporte Sport GT. Apparently most of the bugs with the transmission were sorted out with the Quattroporte Sport GT, making the transmission more livable and more fun. I doubt you’ve test driven the Sport GT, as it is fresh on the market. So….yeah, come back after driving that.

Jon, did you try the sport GT?
I would love to drive that car some day – but for now I enjoy it in car tc-shows. And Tiff Nedell (From FifthGear) just drove the Sport GT on the last show, and he loved it – the new version that is, the old one he diden’t like.

Not if you’ve ever driven one. Frankly, the transmission blows. Sure, it’s perfectly fine on the highway, or when going fast: in manual paddle mode. But, you put the car in auto, especially in stop and grow traffic and it feels like it learned how to drive yesterday; it jerks back and forth in an almost semi-violent manner.

The problem is that instead of being a real automatic, it uses a manual gearbox hooked up to a computer that shifts the clutch for you in ‘auto’ mode. It really doesn’t work well. They need to revamp the whole concept. A traditional auto or a DSG are better alternatives.

I agree that it is a crap magazine but I too would choose a Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT over any of the cars listed.

Robb Report sucks. Seriously, they have no earthly clue what they are talking about, and I am not just talking about cars, I mean in general, their writers are clueless. The concept of the magazine is a good one, but they assemble a better team of writers.
