In a recent interview, Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne said Maserati is considering building a crossover SUV on the Alfa Romeo 159 platform. He said the company is also considering building a large Maserati coupe on the Quattroporte platform. No further details were provided by Marchionne. There is a growing trend, however, toward SUVs from exotic car makers. As we’ve previously reported, Lamborghini is considering building an SUV of its own based on the forthcoming Audi Q5 called the LM00X.
