Maserati unveils MC Sport Line

Maserati has unveiled a new customization program – dubbed the ‘MC Sport Line’ – at the Bologna Motor Show. The new MC Sport Line (with the MC standing for Maserati Corse, the company’s racing division) will enhance both the look and performance of Maserati vehicles.

The MC Sport Line will launch on the brand’s GranTurismo S model, but will spread to all Maserati models by the end of 2009.

The MC Sport Line will consist of several add-on options, all of which focus on reducing weight and improving overall performance. Exterior options will include carbon fiber front and rear spoilers, carbon fiber mirror housings, carbon fiber door handles and 20 inch black rims.

Inside the MC Sport Line continues its use of carbon fiber, with available door sills, steering wheel, paddles shifters, center console, door panels and dashboard all made of the light-weight material.

Although no upgrades are available underhood, the MC Sport Line does offer an upgraded suspension, which lowers the GT S by 10mm.

The MC Sport Line will be available in early 2009 on the GranTurismo S, but pricing for the lineup of add-ons has yet to be announced.

this looks sweet. i just don’t like the white area on the rear lights. they look really old when you see them in real life, like they came out of an old buick or something.

Again..Well done Maserati. I was watching a Top Gear review on the GranTurismo the other day, and Jason Plato (I belive that was his name) described Maserati as “The only untarnished super car name left.” Which is true. I say, screw Ferrari, Maserati is to good for you.
