The 62 S is Maybach's most expensive and exclusive model currently on the market. It features the same 6.0-liter bi-turbo V12 engine as the 57 S, tuned by Mercedes-Benz's AMG division. The motor produces 604 horsepower between 4800 and 5100 rpm. Peak torque is 738 pound-feet, arriving between 2000 rpm and 4000 rpm.

The 62 S is not merely a longer version of the sporty 57 S. While the 57 S is driver-oriented with stiffer suspension and a lower ride height, the 62 S retains the regular Maybach 62's suspension for maximum comfort. Still, the Maybach 62 S manages to perform well in corners thanks to the Airmatic DC (Dual Control) technology, which adjusts automatically to prevent body-roll.
The exterior has a more aggressive look thanks to a strikingly redesigned radiator grille, distinctive 20-inch spoked wheels, and a modified light-cluster design. Like the 57 S model, the new Maybach 62 S boasts single-tone paint in black or silver, both of which are available exclusively for the "S" models. Alternatively, customers can now specify a special paint finish in shimmering white.
Discreet "62 S" lettering adorns the front wings beneath the A pillars and the trunk lid, while a modified rear apron with two integral, trapezoidal exhaust tailpipes hints at the immense performance potential of the 62 S.
The interior makes use of high-grade and hand-finished materials. Carefully coordinated applications of piano lacquer and sporty carbon or anthracite poplar create an atmosphere of performance and luxury.
