Mazda North American will unveil an all-new concept car, Mazda Ryuga, and its all-new Mazda Tribute Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) at the Detroit auto show in January.

Mazda describes the concept as a followup to Nagare concept, which was revealed just weeks ago at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Nagare — Japanese for “flow” — introduced the Mazda’s future design language, the company said. Ryuga — Japanese for “gracious flow” — continues with this idea.

“Ryuga is Zoom-Zoom defined,” said Laurens van den Acker, Mazda’s global design director. “It combines vibrance, confidence, fun and youth all in one ingenious package.” Teaser sketch after the jump…
