Mazda intends to stick with rotary power for a new generation of automobiles starting in 2010, according to the U.K.’s Autocar magazine.
The company is said to be developing a second-generation Renesis engine that will be both more powerful and more efficient than the existing offering.
Mazda is also said to be developing a hydrogen rotary engine that will match a 3.0-liter gasoline powerplant in power, while offering a range of 250 miles.
