Those didn’t really work out very well. As previously mentioned, why does the MX-5 throw the girl away, I thought i’d blare its alarm or something to protect its shiny new paint job or something. Second one, I was expecting it to roll up its windows and smack the guys ice cream into his face for touching too much…

This ad is not funny/entertaining.
The sportka one is much better.

I think the Mazda ad is badly timed, the camera angle was wrong, and its idea didn’t come across well. The whole commercial needed to be played at 1.2x speed probably.

Why did the MX-5 throw the girl? I thought the MX-5 would throw the guy and get the girl itself.
If the MX-5 is throwing the girl, is the MX-5 gay? What is going on between the guy and the XM-5? Isn’t the car and driver one? If they are one, would they not enjoy the girl together? From the commercial, the MX-5 must be a female. An aggressive female? This commercial just isn’t well thought out.
