Mercedes-Benz has introduced a special edition of its M-Class SUV to commemorate the German marque’s tenth year of production at its Tuscaloosa, Ala., plant. Mercedes calls the new special edition, which is mostly an appearance package, the “Edition 10.”
The Edition 10 includes 20″ wheels, Xenon headlights, dark-tinted taillights, and painted highlights on the body, as well as Edition 10 badging on the fenders. Inside, there’s two-tone leather, unique instruments and stainless steel pedals. The Edition 10 will be available beginning fall 2007.

It’s hard to believe that Mercedes has been producing cars in Alabama for ten years; the plant and its product were both revolutionary for Mercedes, although there were numerous quality issues with the first M-Class vehicles off of the line. Both the M-Class SUV and the American plant were firsts for Mercedes.
