many people looking for alternative energy sources arent going to want to drop 3 grand on top of the price of the car just so they can fuel it.

Talking about infrastructure, does the US have more stations selling CNG or LPG? Almost every RV has a LPG tank, so my guess would be that it makes more sense to power cars with LPG.
