@golf4me both the C and GLK class have thiw engine but only with 170hp…
@nickkop both the 2L and 3L diesel engine of audi exist in the Q5…
Not yet in the states but soon i believe.

That’s pretty impressive specs for a 2.2 liters engine, plenty of torque to get the heavy E-class to move quickly (not sports car quick, but quick enough for just about every regular driver).
But all in all, Mercedes really needs to step away from using urea to clean up its emissions. They should use the VW model for the BLUETDI which stores the NOx until a certain engine cycle will burn it out. This means nothing to refill or even worry about…

i think this motor would also make a lot of sense in the C and GLK, since it first came out i was thinking the GLK needs a small but torquey clean diesel, and same for the Q5, it should have their 3.0 and 2.0 TDI

I’d like to see this powertrain in the C-class. I just don’t like the new E. I like the current version better, but maybe it’ll grow on me. Or, even the GLK, because they’ll not likely bring a wagon version of the C or E ever. Yeah, I’m one of THOSE. Diesel wagon nutjobs unite!

MBUSA needs all the effiency they can get after forcing the heftiest CAFE fines ever over the last two years. This would make a great addition.
