Mercedes-Benz introduces C63 iPhone application

10/21/2008, 3:05 PM

By Andrew Ganz

Mercedes-Benz and its interactive ad agency, Critical Mass, as well as 29HD Network, have introduced a C63 AMG-themed application for the Apple iPhone. The free application allows users to listen to the C63 accelerate, drive by and rev its engine, as well as look at photos and view high-performance videos.

The application is available free of charge on the iPhone Applications Store. It requires iPhone OS 2.1 software.

The application’s two-minute plus videos include a drag strip run, a drive down the Las Vegas strip and a hot lap around Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

This is a mindless piece of hokey crap software for the utterly mindless at heart. Either you can afford the price of admission to the big leagues or not.

Just tried the app. As described –it is a showcase of all things C63 AMG. Great collectible —for AMG fans. The sounds that come with it are just fitting. It is like buying an interactive book on the AMG C63. A fanboy app.

Found that AMG app on the Apple ITunes App Store. It’s got some very cool sounds like the AMG engine rev and the car drag racing. It made my iPhone RUMBLE.

If only someone would make a useful app, like one that waiters can use to tap in items that customers order and have the items go straight to the kitchen…
