Leftlane first caught wind of plans for an all-new Mercedes-Benz model intended to offer an alternative to the BMW X6 back in July, then we relayed news to you of the model's confirmed production at the existing Tuscaloosa, Alabama, plant, last week.

Now, thanks to Twitter user Dawn_Kent and her digital camera (via Jalopnik), we now have the first and only teaser image hinting at what we can expect from the model some are referring to as the MLC.

The image shows the silhouette of what appears to be a slightly more car-based design than BMW's X6, but due to a combination of bad lighting and what is likely an intentionally ambiguous teaser image, very little can be discerned from the photo.

Production for the car will start in 2015, likely making it a 2016 model year vehicle.
