Yes, the wealthy never experienced the recession. Look at NASDAQ and DOW, they have been doing great for the past 12 months. The reality is the world is not coming to an end. The Fox news network, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and the drug addict Rush are not reality. They are taking advantage of a lot of uneducated people that don't know when the are being sold a load of crap. For the next couple of years, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes are going to have great sales.

@ NMOFGM - Yeah there is a difference between the two. One is true to their word (Japanese) the other one isn't (GM). And another thing. The Envoy and Trailblazers are just another example of vehicles which earned poor reliability ratings and model name is being phazed out currently to cover up the bad reputation the vehicles left behind. Just like the Cavalier and the Cobalt. Because no one wants to buy a car who shares the same name as a model notorious for poor reliability. It's bad for sales.

At least only Canadians have to deal with the B-Class - us down here don't have to worry about it.

I wonder how MB is going to keep their premium feeling in some of the dealerships with the Sprinter sold and serviced there now... Although I think my company probably accounts for approx 50% of all Sprinters sold as it is and we don't step foot in the dealerships or even talk to them - we buy direct. They will be in there for service - alot - and when we get the bill for a $100 oil change - sh!t is going to go down.

I don't know Smegley, some are absolutely stunning and others... the absolutely retarded B Class for example... aren't worthy of the space they'd take up on a garbage scow. I think that's their problem right now, there is way too much of a gap between the best and the worst. BMW and Audi are much more consistent when it comes to styling.

^It's called "Learning the hard way" Denver. Should have bought a Trailblazer or an Envoy. You would be still driving it and still have zero problems. There's a difference between GM quality and reliability and jap Q & R. The difference is night and day which is why GM is on the rise and the japs are going out of business!

Toyota is going out of business one customer at a time.

Every manufacturer puts out some problem children. My '93 Pathfinder was a rock going well over 100k requiring nothing more than oil changes and tires. Traded it in for a '98 that ended up being the Nissan service manager's best friend. So you never know.

Like I said before. GM Goodwrench made one hell of a profit off of me and my piece of sh*t Buick Century and Chevy Blazer. The best decision I ever made was trading the two sh*t cans for our 96 Pathfinder. No more problems after that.

With all the mechanical problems and fit and finish problems I have experienced with GM and Chrysler vehicles I know someone who won't have a bright future. GM!!

I've yet to see a GM piece of sh*t as old as some of the benzes I still see running on the road. With the exception of vintage corvettes and chevelles. Because even the older Camaros I don't see much of. Hmmm. Says alot about GM quality.

^^^Giving them no resources and starving them of decent FWD powertrain and platform development was what MB did. They thought what Americans wanted was subpar cars for a low price. Well guess what, they got the price right, just don't think we'll give up decent interiors and fit and finish.

MB did that to Chrysler, they are to blaim for this. Oh, and from experience working with DaimlerChrysler in the past, the German management never did understand the US mass car market - a problem VW has always had too and will have the same problem when they produce a "NA" market midsize sedan and as all reports are showing, "tailor" it to our market. when europeans tailor something to the Americans (or Canadians) somehow it always ends up bad.

JakeK66, large corporate ventures involving two different countries like this have always proven to be tenuous, if not unmanageable in the long-run. I don't know where Chrysler, or Mercedes did it to themselves or each other?

So my last car basically got COTY again by Automobile - the 2010 GTI - which is really a facelifted 2006-09. Should I feel sad about this or what? Was the GTI really that good and I just didn't see it? I want to know!
Sorry, I should say something about MB but after what they did to Chrysler I couldn't give two sh!ts.
