New Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class sales pass 100,000

By admin

Although it’s been less than two years since the new Mercedes-Benz SLK made its market debut in March 2004, more than 100,000 vehicles have already been sold, the company said today. In 2005, 56,400 of the compact roadsters were delivered to customers worldwide – a greater number than ever before in the history of the model series. The SLK is also leading the pack and edging out competitors in the premium segment: With a market share of 22 percent in 2005, the compact Mercedes roadster is the world’s best selling car in its class. Sales of the model last year were actually higher than the combined sales of the comparable models from German competitors.
