eMercedesBenz yesterday posted an update on its campaign to raise money for Derrick Lee Pack, a homeless man who saved a motorist after his Mercedes plunged off a bridge. Pack lost everything he owned in a fire two weeks ago. He said the last thing of value he owned was his steel-tipped boots which were lost during the rescue. “When I read the story, I felt compelled to to show respect to Derrick Lee Pack, who’s act of bravery probably saved the driver’s life,” wrote Ashley Rude of eMB. “How can I not feel sympathy for Pack?  Not only did he save someone’s life, he lost the only thing he owned, which wasn’t much.”
