Mercedes’ AMG unit is continuing to have fun with its new 6.3-liter V8, this time dropping the 510 horsepower, 465lb-ft behemoth in a 2006 C-Class, according to Autocar. The report says the RS4 killer will not make it into mass production, but will rather be made for a handful or “preferred customers.” Recent rumors suggest, however, that virtually all next-generaiton Mercedes models will eventually offer the 6.3 liter engine above AMG’s 5.5 liter V8. And while no promises have been made about a production C63 when the next-generation C-Class goes on sale in 2007, stranger things have happened — take the R63 AMG, for example.
