"Oh, yeah - and Veda? "Dumbass" kinda dropped out of most peoples' vocabularies after the second grade."

Didn't want to be grouped along with Deanster and the rest with their gay comments. That's another non-car related post from you btw...

"Veda, you lost your right to comment right about the time you admitted to owning a Ssangyong."

Care to elaborate on that? If LLN posts something on that brand they must think it's relevant to this site. Thus my right to comment, unlike you who most likely never even sat in one.

"Comparing a Honda Fit to a Mercedes-Benz B-Class is the pinnacle of ignorance;"

Same interior quality, same safety ratings. How is it ignorance? If anything I should be awarded for having to guts to bring that up unlike blind ignorant fuckheads like you who worship MB till the end of time.

"a prejudicial viewpoint of which only a blind man with the intelligence of a wombat and the life experience of a travestite prostitute would be capable."

On the contrary, having owned both vehicles (for business of course), makes me more than suitable to comment on their comparison. I have nothing against any brands save GM cause they don't make me $. Now, it seems that you have a certain negative viewpoint against Ssangyong. Did I just detect some prejudice?

"*HINT* If you'd comment in this forum *before* the daily rogering you receive from friends and family, your thoughts might be more worthwhile. I'm not the first to notice that this rogering indeed takes place, and if you continue in this fashion, I won't be the last."

And this is supposed to do what? Scare me with your multiple nicknames?

"The worst part is that you think you're relevant. If you wanted to be relevant, lemming, then whoring to a crowd that is, largely, nowhere near the vicinity of your southeast Asian rental-car company was not the most auspicious of starts, was it?"

Ahh, I see... you didn't even know I'm in Irvine, CA. I invest everywhere in the world though not always in automotive. So what the fuck are you doing trying to give me a long ass lecture when you haven't been around long enough in this site eh? Of course, this sounds like Deanster or Renton speaking. Too much fascination with travestite prostitutes and xxxxs as usual...

"Go back to chomping on McNuggets and selling beat-up rental cars. We don't want you; we don't like you, and we certainly don't need you."

And who is this "we" you're speaking of? Do you own this site? Oh you don't? That's just really very unfortunate. BTW, is it Kasem or Kasim? That sounds like terrorist Iranian to me... whatever, even if you make 10 more nicknames you still sound very much the same. Same curses, tones, and ignorance.

Someone at Benz must really be convinced that an overgrown and vastly overpriced Smart is going to sell to a few idiots at any cost. Their big-ass fugly overpriced people-mover didn't move at all, and now this smaller ugly piece of xxxx won't either. But as long as some product manager is swallowing the load of a Daimler CEO in a closet in Krrrrrapenhafen somewhere they will continue to bombard the planet with this hideous xxxx.

If youve ever spent time overseas cheaper mercedes dont dilute the image at all. This is exactly the kind of backwards VW marketing (jetta to phaeton, rather than the opposite) that could make it more successful and profitable, just like Porsche and the Cayenne. Make them luxurious enough and AMG it with a fast sporty version and there'll be no excuse not to bring it here.

global_lightning: No, actually they taught me to type every post with some kind of relevant discussion to the article, unlike certain people here like oh gee...you? And to make it relevant I'll say that you really didn't know a damn thing about the car other than the pics you saw here right?

The B-Class could do damage to Mercedes' luxury perception. Best market it as the Smart ForMore.

If it comes to America, I would expect they bring it up to luxury-spec with all it's other vehicles. Not all Mercedes are luxury vehicles, but generally in America Mercedes they are percieved that way.
Global Lightnings first comment *cough* had a good point, get the exchange rates working for you. I don't know how the Germans would percieve the quality there-after, but it would be a plausible move.

Why in the world would MB want in a market like this?

My GOD MB, stick to making sweet high end rides and let Kia/Toyota/Honda/whatever make autos for the 8th grade drop outs that cant afford your autos.

No, the US Si is one ugly crap that's fortunately a reliable ride. I'd take the Euro type R with its modern interior over the new C Class. I swear the C has the most uncomfortable seats even compared to the Honda Fit. The knobs on the instrument panel also felt way too cheap compared to the outgoing model. But they'll buy it anyway cause it's a C Class...

global_lightning: Again we get the same dumbass comments from those who most likely have never test driven one. The B series was doing so bad regardless of the star badge that they've stopped importing it to certain markets. Just think about it, those of you who have had the opportunity to actually sit inside the new C Class would notice the cheap interior of even the C350. Now if the B class is even worse, it's in the Honda Fit category. It's just so damn overpriced and not even that good of a car. heck I'd take a Civic first...

1. Build it in the U.S. and export it to Europe. Get that Dollar/Euro exchange rate working for you.
2. People interested in tall compacts won't be interested in a traditional luxury sedan. This vehicle will compete against the Mazda5 and the coming crap-flood of cross-overs. The B-Class will bring in new buyers to MB rather than canibalize C-Class sales.

is it going to be a 40 grand compact? what would stop me from buying a japaneese compact that will be more reliable overall?
.
The B-Class would also potentially hurt sales of Mercedes' higher-line models, much like the A-Class has done in certain European markets.
then why build it?
