Back on September 18, 2007, Rachel Veitch, then age 89, and her 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente first started their journey towards Internet sensationalism when they reported about her 540,000 miles with the original engine and transmission. Now, two years and 20,000 miles later, Rachel and her Comet Caliente are back and still kicking.

Rachel firs told the world about her love affair with the Mercury Comet Caliente that just don’t die. It’s been so good to her in fact, it managed to outlast her three husbands, seven free mufflers, three sets of shocks and 16 free batteries thanks to lifetime warranties. As Rachel explained it, her car, which she affectionately calls “Chariot,” doesn’t lie to her, doesn’t cheat on her and she can always depend on her.

Now, two years later, the world which was left wondering about the status of Rachel and her ageless Comet have an update. Rachel proves that she still has some plenty of life left to live, and and plans to keep driving the Comet for many years and miles to come. Rachel also manages to show the video’s host a thing or two about parking, to follow up her previous impromptu education about the Comet’s engine bay.
