MINI’s MINI Inspired by Goodwood recently debuted at the Shanghai Motor Show, but it won’t be long until the Rolls-Royce designed city car is in dealerships across the globe.

Set to follow the blueprint laid out by the company’s John Cooper Works packages, the Goodwood treatment will soon be available across the MINI range. However, the MINI Inspired by Goodwood will first bow as an option on the Cooper.

MINI is planning to build 1,000 examples of the plush city car, with sales expect to commence during the first half of 2012. The MINI Inspired by Goodwood will only be available in Diamond Black metallic or Reef Blue Metalic.

The interior of the Goodwood will uphold its Rolls-Royce connection, featuring the same materials and suppliers used by Rolls-Royce – right down to the dash’s wood veneers.

Of course that Rolls-Royce connection will ensure a hefty price increase over the standard MINI, with UK pricing set to start at £42,000, the equivalent of $70,000.
