BMW’s mini brand, MINI, has announced U.S. pricing for its smallest drop-top models: the Cooper Roadster, Cooper S Roadster and John Cooper Works Roadster.

These three new drop-top MINI models are intended to give thrill seekers who enjoy a wind-in-the-hair experience the ability to also enjoy their fun in a small package, and they can be had at prices for many budgets with the base MINI Cooper Roadster kicking things off at $25,050 including destination.

For $25,050 buyers will get a soft-top MINI powered by the engine found in the standard Cooper model, a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder, good for a zero-to-60 time of 8.7 seconds thanks to 121 horsepower.

Top speed is limited to 124 mph.

Dropping a bit more cash – $28,050 to be exact – will see the addition of a twin-scroll supercharger onto the same engine found in the Cooper trim level, and putting the “S” in Cooper S Roadster. This upgrade will pump power up to 181 horsepower and move this convertible to 60 miles per hour in 6.7 seconds.

Top speed is limited to 141 mph.

If the Cooper S Roadster still leaves you desiring more, MINI will gladly exchange $35,200 of your dollars for a no-options John Cooper Works Roadster, cranking out 208 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Being the most powerful of the bunch, the JCW model is also the fastest – accelerating from a dead stop to 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds and going on to a top speed of 147 miles per hour.

Look for the Roadster models to begin arriving in U.S. dealers in February 2012.
