Mitsubishi previews 2007 Outlander

07/03/2006, 9:49 AM

By admin

Mitsubishi will use the 2006 Paris Motor Show in September to launch its all-new Outlander. Due to go on-sale in Europe in spring 2007, the new mid-size SUV has been designed to bring “new levels of comfort and drivability” to the segment. The automaker today released a computer rendering of the vehicles, which appears to be a production-ready interpretation, rather than a concept. There has been no word on U.S. availability. Gallery after the jump…

Everything was fine ….’till I saw the back. Oh well, you’d have to be brain dead to buy a Mitsu in the US anyway.

I think the back is cool. The rest is a little tepid.

The 2007 Outlander is already confirmed for the US – this Euro model just has different front and rear treatments and a diesel powertrain.

There’s going to be Mitsubishi in the US after 2007?? Maybe there’s still hope for a new Daewoo also!

Awesome! But the front end really reminds me of a Pontiac Torrent.

Why is LLN showing CGI’s of the Outlander? The real thing has been on sale in Japan for several months now.

At least the Outlander doesn’t have a low tech, Chinese made v-6 of the equinox. It is better styled and overall a better package. It looks better than the new Rav4 and Crv to boot. All they need nowis a Ralliart version with the Lancer Evolution’s powertrain.

Looks like crap to me. Like someone put a Pontiac Torrent and Rav-4 together. Also, the back really reminds me of the Subaru Forester.

Make the Outlander a production vehicle and I’ll be lining up to own one.

the outlander will offer 7 passenger seating (this will in a sense replace the montero.. 2006 is the last year for montero) complete with a bigger engine and more stable driveline.. the outlander has little competition.. appearance says it all.. 16” alloys, color-keyed grille, auto-off headlights, roof rack, privacy glass, leather wrapped steering wheel, power sunroof, 4 wheel independent suspension, electronic brakeforce distribution, making it not only a trail blazer, but a car well suited enough to show up to a class renuinion in and still be in style.. CRV and RAV4.. riddle me that!!
