very nice design, except the rear is a bit awkward. (sorta looks like a mazda 6’s exhaust design) which is very ugly. the rear doesn’t complement the front. people at mitsubishi should really reconsider redesigning the rear. Not much of a difference between the lancer and the evo, personally the evo should look more aggressive than the lancer. maybe meaner headlights, like the ones on the sketches. on the flip side…the interior?…VERY nice…….

evo fq 400 was a limited edition. only 100 cars. so thats why its exspensive i guess. anyway its nice to have a saloon car that will beat a zonda to 60mph.

THE fq400 costs £44,000/ $86,000 new!

No way does it cost $55,000+ to get 113 extra bhp!!! and the people who brought them should be shot

FYI this is what happens when you lets those stupid English dealers fiddle around with a perfect product. The fq400 is just a warranty on wheels for a $55,000 premium and Mitsubishi motors japan had involvement in because the FQ400 car is a British aftermarket dealer option.

levianthan18 – it may be faster than a lambo but it has the turning radius of a bus and turbo lag up the ass =0, but a good top gear epidsode. Import the FQ333 (i think) if you want the best EVO.

I wonder if this Lancer Sedan(not this version posted today) will be as good at handling, 0-60, NVH, etc, as the Scion tC, or Mazda 3? Hope so. Looks decent enough.
And the 10/100K warranty is a big plus over these other 2 vehicles.

This car doesn’t do anything for me, except for the sweet plate to rest your left foot on. Way to have a clock (analog!) sticking up like a boil in the middle of the dash. Plus they’re only now hitting STi horsepower? weak sauce.

I’m not afraid to say that I think this is a great looking car, Mitsubishi is a company that often times delivers “almost” products, but this looks right on the money. The interior materials look to be of high quality, the fit and finish to be high, while the exterior style is taught, aggressive, and commanding. I like it a lot.

You can kind of tell this car is close to production by the way that the stereo and the brakes are branded (Rockford Fosgate and Brembo, respectively). Can’t promote partners too early, right?
LLN: When I saw the photos I thought, hey, there’s a sleeper edition of the Evo X without the huge audi-styled unigrille and the hood vents… And then I thought, dang it, they took out the Recaro seats too… And then it hit me: one of your photos is of a normal 2008 Lancer.

if you see past pics of the prototype this one is really near production desing you can tell by interior and the glympse of the tail light its more “normal” i have tons of pics of the proto and you can tell this one is almost production car they can change some little things…

i really love this car monster for sure hope to see an MR FQ 400 soon

I haven’t heard anybody that owns an Evo deny it’s a Lancer. Maybe it’s only people you know.
Everyone that knows anything about the Evolution knows that they don’t even USE the Evolution in the WRC. They use the Lancer, the Evolution is just a WRC inspired version of it.
