I cannot beleive the crap i am reading hearing every day & around the world….get it through your thick heads this world has been around for BILIONS of years, to think that we small amount of humans have directly caused the irreversable damage to the earth in the space of say 50years IS A JOKE…you people have been brainwashed into thinking if we go green on these cars, SHAZAM the world will be fixed….In thousands of areas around the whole world their a parts/caves/waterways/ etc etc that humans cannot go due to the fact the the gases that are coming straight from the earths centre and core will kill you without proper breathing apparatus….yes this earth produces gases, liquids than can kill any human very easily…..not to mention the most powerful killer in this earth…the sun….you spend 15minutes in the sun you get burnt right…..from a sun that is BILLIONSSSSS OF MILESSSS AWAY……something that powerful can have deadly affects on skin, and thier is NOTHING on this planet you can change that can stop that sort power ….How ignorant do we think we are that we can reverse or slow mothernature….????SO PEOPLE….stop and think what crap persons like AL Gore put out and realise this earth is here to stay…..
I am not for one minute saying, stop recycling or dump your crap in the ocean, but please stop with the doom and gloom BS and tell me if i dont buy a piece of CRAP HYBRID that a bird in portugal wont be able to fark anymore because its too hot on his testicles……..PLEASE…so much BS…..

One last thing does anyone realise that the earth actually reproduces oil????i that is fact…so dont give me any greif….I know my views wont go down so well with most of you, but hey I DONT GIVE AS SHEET…..It’s my opinion and last i heard every man has the right to his own say……

not saying i dont like the sound of a petro-fuel engine, but its days may end… MAY i am saying; and wed be dumbfounded if we didnt make sure mobility is still an option, when the last drop of gas has been sucked from the wells…

Having to waste time filling up gas so often has a negative impact towards luxury at least for busy people like me. Those who say Ferrari shouldn’t go green probably still hasn’t own a new Ferrari yet as their mentality sounds like those without the ability to pay house mortgage.

Internal combustion may not be the most efficient but it shure is the most fun and exciting way to get arround i mean what would you rather listen to as you drive along, a thumbing V8, a barking V10 maybe the screams from a V12 or the whur of a tin can opener……… “petrol is passion” **yarddog your right green is a rubbish color for a ferrari***

joshthenurse, not quite true. In the beginning of last century there “ladies carriages” – electric cars for ladies to visit each other for tea. I learned about it from Jay Leno show. He has a sample. Range was 10-15 miles and it was clean and did not require to change oil.
Internal combustion may not be the most efficient, but the cheapest form of portable energy. If you think that electricity travels without losses via grid, before it gets into your batteries, you are mistaken. Not to mention that we can generate relatively small amount of electricity via solar, wind and hydro power. Most of electricity comes from coal burning plants. Efficient? not really.

The truth is, internal combustion is such an inefficient process compared to, say, an electric engine. Forget the green part- from a performance stand point, it seems to make sense. The Tesla Roadster, for example, makes 100% of its torque at 0 rpm. I’m surprised supercar manufacturers haven’t tried to harness alternative fuel technologies already. The fact that the car is greener is a bonus, but like many people say, people who buy Ferraris aren’t overly concerned with the price of fuel when filling up their cars.

Hmmm, a smaller displacement engine? Could this mean something like the V8 from the 360? Fit that with a nice supercharger and it’ll sound… amazing. As for the whole green thing, that’s not a bad thing and the light weight is always a plus. After all, what Ferrari owner would complain about better performance?

so, if nobody cares, what wrong will it do if it IS green and it DOES help reduce fuel-consumption? and if ferrari proves they can built a supercar that goes green, maybe some of its tech will go into everydays cars… and thats not just the green part, but maybe also some of the sports-part..

so why bash them?
