Potential Takata whistleblower and Honda engineer admits he had it wrong

A Honda engineer who believed he had inside information about the Takata airbag failures walked back his claims this month in a sworn affidavit submitted to a Florida court. In an email sent by the engineer to a colleague in 2013, he claimed that he knew the root cause of Takata's airbag issues. VW waives appeal in German Dieselgate cases, will buy back vehicles

In the wake of German court rulings in favor of plaintiffs seeking compensation following Volkswagen's diesel emissions scandal, the company has decided to forego the appeals process and agree to begin a buyback program, Reuters reports. Lamborghini could introduce a four-seater sports car
