I’d love to see this in the united states…I’ve gotten a chance to drive a 2004 model in new zealand and I fell in love with it even if it was only a rental. I see them every now and then with mexican licence plates in houston, and I have to say, looking at them in the united states, they look appealing if you could imagine a regular old (u.s.) ford taurus besides it. The new style is even nicer and I hope it’ll grab the u.s.’s attention.

Gents this version would be calssed in the sport ghia segment will probably cost around £21000 in the UK ( granted we get rafted for tax ) that the equivilent of $37,091 – you can get a an X type for that,

all they need to do is change the name, it is sadly viewed with some derision in the UK ( due to the many company car drivers that have them ) bad really when yo consider how far the car has come in the last several years, and the favourable reviews in the press.

The question would be what the cost for an American market with “built in USA UAW variables included” that they’d have to charge to make a profit on the vehicle? I’d surmise that it would be $30k+ and would quickly overlap the MKZ market and notably more expensive than the Fusion/Milan.

A usual rule of the road for Euro vehicles is that take the segment in terms of size and the price will be approx one segment higher (see a Euro Focus for the price of the Fusion, a Fiesta for the price of a US Focus)… The American consumer is likely not going to want to pay for the content and only get the specific segment size.
