I currently drive a cts-v and love the looks; its pure power and stability. My previous car was a Z06 which I really enjoyed but for a four door sedan my cts-v is the best. Denise

Well where do I start. I sell Cadillacs for a living, and have driven the CTS-V harder then most people would imagine. The car is soooo sweet in the corners and has plenty of power in the straight away. BUT, my own personal vehicle is a 2004 BMW M3 coupe. I know it is not far to compare to a 4 door, but my in-line six smokes the CTS-V. Both cars have strong points, but I would rather have the BMW for resale value, and it handles better, and has more appeal. Cadillac is finally going in a great direction, and I think that the new 08 CTS is going to be a big hit.

Will some people turn down the unappropriate remarks here. Just be impartial and don't get personal because somebody is dissing GM. Let us talk about the cars and no more unending childish biased comments. Please stop messing up the messageboards.

You were talking about the CTS-V vs. the A4 and the 3-Series, not really a fair comparison, thus I mentioned you should drive the RS4 (which competes with the CTS-V).

Oh, an RS4, that's a different story. I thought we were talking mainstream A4s.

Jon and Anonymous, you've got to actually take a drive in the cars you're talking about. The CTS-V is a seriously high-quality ride, on a different level than the 3-Series and A4 in terms of power and pure straight-line exhilaration. It's a four-door Corvette.

By the same token, saying that other Cadillacs (CTS, STS) are superior to a 3-Series is simply laughable. The 3-Series is a world apart in terms of ride-handling balance and steering feel. On a track, it really is one of those cars that you can drive comfortably at the limit with almost no seat time. Their chassis are that intuitive.

On a less off-topic note, I think Cadillac did an amazing job with this redesign. They seem to have grafted the STS' styling themes onto the taut, nose-down shape of a Lexus IS. Beautiful. Now, if they just improve the steering and let the V6 sing a little louder, it'll be a class act.

there doesn't seem to be much of a difference from a design standpoint from the current model. they both look like they were designed by someone who only had a ruler.

ya'll have nothing to do? or nowhere else to be?

Stop the uselessness of this discussion...

All one can do with these spyshots is hold their breath to various degrees. Some none at all.

I for one am looking forward to this car, but in as far as discussions about the current products, just go find something else to do people!

You only drive in straight lines? It’s all nice and good for going straight (and even then…), but try turning the car at speed and see how it fails to handle.

Also, I said the CTS-V, and its comparable rival is the Audi RS4, which can destroy it in everyway possible, including an all out drag race.

I notice that you didn’t argue regarding fit or finish or quality of the product…

Yes the CTS-V is a lot better than previous GM 4-door ‘sports cars’ (and I use the term as loosely as possible), but its still too big, the interior is still too badly put together and uses too many cheap materials and was designed by a man with only a ruler.

GM still has a long way to go before it makes anything even close to the 3-Series / A4.

Even under all the stuff it looks good. I'm not really interested in the segment but that looks great. If they keep up the progress maybe they really might be the world standard again.

I sound so sure "maybe they might"
