I wonder if Ford fixed the water leak issues when they redesigned this new model. If they didn’t, DO NOT buy a Mustang. If you do buy a Mustang do not drive or park it in the rain or this will happen sooner or later http://editpacific.com/mustang.html. It took my Mustang four years to start the water fall that causes all kinds of electrical problems. This is not my car in the video, my car’s leak isn’t that bad yet.

60% might as well equal 100% in business anything over 51% is the majority owner so whats your point realist? They own the company 100% or not!!!

Mustang is greater than Camaro for many reasons, lighter, more agile, better mpg, much nicer interior, better build quality, and MADE IN USA

"Try to spin it, but the government owns GM."

That must be the Obama math.

60% = 100%

Does that mean that 80% = 120%?

And 100% actually equals 140%?

^That is claiming, made sloppily by people in china and then imported through the U.S., or made by bud and jim boy in alabama. Either way, not a good idea if you're trying to sell to smart people.

I have no beef with Canadians personally but "Made in" is normally associated with a country, not a continent. Claiming Made in Asia I'd say somebody is trying to hide their own country to sell products, Made in Europe is banking on another countries profitablity... Which is it with canadian products claiming to be Made in America?

I think you need to read my comment carefully. There's nothing there that says Canadians aren't Americans or not to buy Camaros.

I'm not a fan of the "government owned" title that seems to be enjoyed by many but a 60% majority is a majority that does support "ownership". And even though I am a US citizen and understand that America is a term used most often for the US seeing as it is in our countries name it also applies to the North American continent. As for Canadians though, either accept being called Americans and being confused with US citizens or insist on being called Canadians but relinquish rights to be recognized as Americans. It doesn't work to claim both.

"Yeah…Americans should buy Camaros. You know, the car built in Canada by a company that is government owned because it can’t survive on it’s own."

Americans should be able to buy any car they want...and last I checked, Canada is part of North AMERICA.

And...please...the government does not own GM. 60% does not equal 100%.

All you people complaining about no headroom in the Camaro, check this out: all of the car manufacturers based their driver height measurements on the average driver (male and female taken in consideration) abouit 5"8" and no heavier than 180 lbs. My 6'1" brother has a hard time looking through my Mustang windshield without squatting down.

The new Chevrolet Camaros and Dodge Challengers and the latest version of the Ford Mustang are showing up in growing numbers at collector car events. Although the visual connection to older models may not be as strong, significant numbers of Corvette owners are choosing to leave their vintage machines in the garage and drive the new versions.

The reason why Ford got by on mediocre cars for as long as they did is because they had no competition. Why waste money on a cash cow if people keep buying them?

While the introduction of the Camaro and Challenger is a good thing as they have improved the quality of the vehicles all around, there's a reason why the Ford Mustang has NEVER had to stop production, it's the best of them all and will always have the greatest, lasting appeal of the muscle cars. It will never die.

"Ford has to be dragged kicking and screaming into building a Mustang that can compete with Camaro."

Really? Seems like the Camaro is the one who had to be imported from Australia to compete with the retro Mustang which wasn't discontinued.

Oh, and why does the new Camaro feature retro styling, again? Oh, please, tell us.

"Mustang>>>>>>>Camaro

look at the sales numbers"

Yeah...oh wait...the Camaro outsold the Mustang every month it was on sale last year...

---------------

And if the Mustang is a sports car...it is the absolute worst performing, worst handling, worst looking 'sports car' on the planet.

@HI54 - I don't know how it would be to drive it. I have only sat in a couple camaro's at the auto show so who knows if I would be at all comfortable while driving it. From when I was sitting in it I believe the seat backs were reclined a bit which doesnt bother me while I am driving. But all things considered I find the Mustang more comfortable than the Camaro which is why I would opt for the Stang as well.

You fit in that thing? We'll my hair is already touching the headliner, there's not that much headroom, and I can't drive with the chair reclined to the floor. It's hard to drive leaning back, that's just me. Anyways, go FORD!!

HI54 - Yes the Camaro is cramped, but how did you not fit into it. I am 6'1 and 250lbs and I fit into it... Barely. I wouldnt want to hit a bump however as my head is way to close to the headliner especially if there is a sunroof.

Did any of you sat in a CRAMPARO before? I'm 5'7" @ 155 lbs. and my head was about go through the roof, I could barely fit! There's no interior room whatsoever,it's a POS car ! As for the MUSTANG, just beautiful, there's no comparison!
CRAMPMARO had better sales this past couple months because everyone is waiting around to purchase this model year MUSTANG due to the return of the 5.0. And also the base engine of 305 hp v6 is much needed today.Let's not forget the badass GT500, awesome! In the next couple months sales for the MUSTANG will sky rocket while the CRAMPMARO will seize!! Go FORD!!!

BK2009 - I guess I am just a little different for a car guy. I respect all makes and manufacturers generally for the technology they put together for us to buy. In many ways I prefer the Camaro to the Mustang mostly because I prefer the old technology of a pushrod engine compared to the more complex double overhead cam 4 valve 5.0L coming. That being said, Ford has done an awesome job of engineering this engine. Great article in Hotrod Magazine this month on the new 5.0L. I like the Mustang for the quality of the interior and how nimble it is due to less girth. I also love the styling of both vehicles (Camaro and Mustang). However, which one I would buy would depend entirely on how well I fit into it. This would probably be a sale for the Mustang as the Camaro is a little tight on headroom for a person that is 6'1.

bk2009 - Well is there any point for anyone to not be civil. Really, it is all a matter of opinion on what car people prefer. I know people that think Kia's are one the best brands on the road. I don't bad trash talk them. If they want to believe have good luck with it that is great. However, Kia is not for me. Truth be told, I would like to buy a Mustang convertible. But I also like the Camaro SS. Yes they compete with each other and they both have good and bad points to them. But I look at this way. There is a lot of engineering done in both of them that will GM and Ford both go back and find out how to make the both better. That is the beauty of competition.

B2009 STFU the Mustang GT500 won't perform anywhere near what you are saying. All you do is just throw performance #'s that try to sound better than Corvette #'s... JUST STOP U IDIOT.

Not to mention time and time again when you were saying how fast the SHO was and quicker than the Pontiac G8 GXP we all proved you wrong. I'll prove you wrong once the 2011 Mustang GT500 gets released. I really want to know wtf you are smoking to even think of these arbitrary numbers... No one on here believes you anyways...

HOW CAN A 575HP Mustang that weighs more than a ZR1 with less HP be quicker???? IT CAN'T. JUST STOP!

And the MUSTANG IS NOT A SPORTS CAR! ITS A PONY CAR YOU FING RETARD!

The Funny thing is that GM is parrotting (mimmicking everything Ford does, and so much so that GM does'nt know what its doing!>@##* Well I guess its a form of flattery.
As soon as Ford announced that next Mustang would be Global then what did GM do- the same for the Junk camaro. and as Borat said even though GM is going to force their current Camaro in Europe- it won't sell of if it does it will sell very little. A GAS GUZZLER in Europe Ah No I don't think so!
GM must be scared they just introduced the Camaro last year. Now they are scrapping the car after only 4 years wow! They want to play catch up with Ford okay. Ford will keep beating you to the Punch GM!

Greg I hope your not referring to the 2011 Mustang GT500 its already @ 0-60 3.9 - 4.3 Seconds so it beats 4 seconds. I think Ford will whittle a little more HP out of it while keeping the Gas Guzzler tax off it. 575HP 0-60 3.3 Seconds 1/4 mile 11.1

92GTA STFU you reworked version of the Realist. Mustang is a Sports car. Go back to GM and have them build you your Pony or Muscle car in the Camaro and your Pseudo Sports car in the Corvette. The Mustang is America's Sports Cars. Oh and BTW Thanks Borat and Bub Solo for saying it like it is! :)
