Nissan will be building commercial vehicles in the plant currently building the Titan. The "new" trucks will continue to be built by Nissan, with Cummins diesel engines, for the commercial market, while the Ram will replace the Titan in the retail market. This has already been announced by Nissan. The new names for the commercials were the only secret, although we've known about them for several months (since January in fact). There are more than LLN has revealed here as well. Oh, yeah, that’s right as well. Nissan will be building commercial vehicles in the plant currently building the Titan. In other markets the retail-market Frontier/Navara is sold alongside the NP300 (the old Navara/Frontier updated for the commercial market). This is really old news.

Perhaps this is the distinction they're making between passenger vans and panel vans. Or maybe it stands for "Panel", and the NPs will be the panel vans, while the NVs will be the passenger vans. But I seriously doubt they'll change the name of the Titan to something so commercial and generic-sounding. F-150 works because it's been around forever. But there's a reason Chevy/GMC, and Dodge changed their pickup names from alphanumerics to nameplates in the '80s and '90s: lack of recognition and brand strength. We'll just have to see.
